"Green the symbol of hope"

It's a special day. A day to look back...a day to look into carefully....yes it is mother nature's day. World Environment Day. As a part of world environment day natural science association Horus organized many programmes to celebrate the most important day. Yes this is a day to celebrate our mother nature. 

Today first session was our optional class. But today as a part of environmental day celebration natural science association and eco club organized many programmes. So in this first session we arranged our auditorium for today's programme. 

Next session was handled by maya maam. Today we had a revision session. Later session was handled by ancy maam. Today malayalam optional students took their seminar presentation on the topic social change. All presented really well. 

After lunch we had programmes associated with World Environment Day. First programme was conducted by Eco club. They started the programme by prayer. Then they conducted a quiz competition. Two students from each optional had participated. After three rounds natural science students won. 

Then natural science association conducted an inauguration programme and a talk by famous environmentalist C Sushanth Kumar sir. The programme started with prayer and the welcome address was given by shiney maam. Then sushanth Kumar sir gave us an inspirational talk. It reminds us to rethink about the future of our mother planet and what can we do to protect her. It was an amazing session. Later prizes were distributed to the winners of the quiz competition.

Then Sushanth sir inaugurated our butterfly garden. It was a new initiative taken by natural science association. We planted various plants for butterfly garden. Hope the garden be filled with those coloured wings soon. It will be a fruitful initiative. 

The day was blisfull and it was a reminder that each day and every minute we have to take care of our mother nature as we take care of ourselves because our existence itself depends on our nature.
